Killer work from this Detroit Funk Jazz Hiphop band. A big band that usually backs the ELITE of Detroit hiphop & soul including Slum Village, Mayer Hawthorne, Black Milk, Guilty Simpson, & Buff1. This six song project is their tribute to the pioneers of jazz fusion. Pioneers like Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, John Coltrane, Jaco Pastorius as well as Detroit pioneers of jazz like Wendell Harrison who actually guest appear on the project. Ubiquity artist Jeremy Ellis (Ayro) also guest appear on fender rhodes. Cosmic, electric, spacey & funky. All original songs steeped in history but refreshing & current.
